Amazon, following in the footsteps of online original television providers Hulu and Netflix, has released its own first generation of original series. The company will release five new shows that are available for live stream through a membership in Amazon Prime Instant Viewer. This announcement is just another step in what seems to be a massive shift in the way consumers view television- from traditional cable to online streaming.
